A Study on the Subjective Symptoms of Fatigability of the Nurses in the Hospital

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to know extent of aggravated fatigue of nurses after student nurses has stopped clini-cal practice, I made a survey of symptoms of fatigue, taking advantage of questionnaire, on 119 nurses who work at Hospital Attached to Medical College of Jeonbug National University.
So I got the results as follows;
1. Surveyed nurses´ ages were classified into under 29 years old group was 79.7%, over 30 years old group was 20.3,0 and under three years of service were 52.5%, over three years of service were 41.5%.
2. By the working place, nurses of I.P.D. duty were 56.8%, the others, including nurses of 0. P.D. duty, were 43.2% and unmarried nurses were 72.0%, married nurses were 28.0%.
3. After finish their work, the percentage of total complaints come out highly as 55.7%. 1 con-sider that it is related to stop clinical practice of student nurses, and the volume of their duties must have been increased.
4. As symptoms of physical fatigue group, average of complaints of complaints of A item were 77.7% and they complained mainly systemic fatigue. These are caused by enormous Hospital sys-tem which requires nurses´ enlarged duties. So the efficiency of nurses´ duties and plans of hospital system should be considered at the same time.
5. Of all the nurses´ duties the most basic things are communication with patients and kindn-ess, but they are reputed to be unkind and that the problem in extent of fatigue of nurses should be considered carefully.
6. As a part of sensory-neurotic symptom group, total complains of C item were 50.2%.
7. Since the results of this survey showed a type of A>C>B, I got general type as I Domi-nant type, but over 40 years old group showed mental work type as A>B>C (II Dominant).
